My Earring Designs

Earring Designs

Designing earrings is a challenge because after you do the first one, an exact mirror copy needs to be created.  Cluster like earrings are fun to make especially in various shades of the same tone.

Designer Earrings: special custom orders

A birthday present from partner who chose
the Chinese turquoise cab stones: gift recipient
was able to design earrings with me.

Final design is to resemble beetles a bit.
Six rustic 9 Kt gold prongs hold the stones in place on sterling silver base with stylised "S" on back.  Hooks are hand made 9 kt gold.

A birthday present from mother to daughter.  Mom had purchased the 1 carat Swarovski crystals and wanted them set in sterling silver with gold accents.

Sterling silver spirals emulate an orbital planetary path with each Crystal suspended in pre-fab "snapeze" sterling silver setting.  At the centre of each orbit is an 18 karat gold ball.
These earrings are to recreate my first pair of earrings I ever made for myself in 1991 which featured Japanese silver foil beads.  I put out the challenge to my lampworking friends to recreate the foil beads which produced these lovely turquoise coloured glass beads.

These earrings feature: Aussie artisan lampworked beads, India foil beads (bronze) and Czech faceted crystal rounds.
